Mulchy Grassy Ass
Well....I am moved. Not moved in yet. Have spent the last three days unpacking, finding space for my stuff, and trying to make sense of the space and my furniture. It is all very surreal. I can usually handle a lot of things, but moving just has such a negative effect on me, probably because of the war thing when I was younger. I was not well after my first day. I was on the verge of a mental breakdown and just had to leave. I have spent the nights at my mom's and the days at the new place sorting it all out. Last night, Tony and Jorge came over to help me organize the furniture and I think we got it to a logical and livable condition. I do love the neighborhood and the area. It is almost worth paying the extra money, it just feels so weird. Hard to explain. But tonight, I think, will be the first night I sleep there. Everything is pretty much set. Just some things here and there. Thanks SO much to the following for all their help:
Jason Fortner - the king of tubs and boxes. The 13 you gave me were invaulable.
Jorge - the Cuban organizing mastermind for calming me down and spending time arranging my life/house.
Tony- my witty wee Negro for making me laugh and dealing with my stress on top of yours, and keeping me sane.
China Love- who so graciously lifted and carried and packed my knick-knacks.
Dominic - without his agility and size, that truck would NEVER have been packed.
Sara - my Goth girl who wins the award for driving the furthest and dealing with my clothes again....but at least you escaped the scores.
Pam - the fabulous lesbian with the amazing truck who totally busted her ass for someone she barely knows.
Thanks agains...everyone's contribution and assistance meant so much to me. And those of you who didn't help for the most innocuous reasons and those who lied to me....thanks for showing me who you really are.
