Not One Damn Dime and the Judicial System
Of immediate importance is the NOT ONE DAMN DIME DAY which happens tomorrow. Pissed about Bush getting re-elected? Pissed about the war? Pissed about thw way the ocuntry is being run? Then don't spend a single dime tomorrow in protest. Read the website for more information.
I won my court case today. Nothing horrible. I contested a speeding ticket with some pretty good evidence. Of course, the cop who ticketed me was there, but he did not have his paperwork with him so he moved for a dismissal of the case, and I was good to go. He was a nice guy, I can say that much. I was SO fascinated sitting in the courtroom and hearing all the cases and the LAME ASS excuses people give for the things they did wrong. The officer/judge in charge of the proceedings was NOT a happy woman. Thankfully it all worked for me.
What struck as odd and unfair is that officers can use the "he/she looked like they were driving Xmph." How can that count as concrete evidence? Because you went and got laser and radar trainig you can now guage the speed of a moving vehicle using your eyes? How the hell do you even get trained to do that? How is that fair at all? I ask this knowing full well the corruption of the judicial system and how year after year SO many people are released with an apology because of screwed up proceedings and evidence. I just don't get how that kind of evidence can't be thrown right out of the court room. Very troubling indeed.
