What a Way to Start the Week
So Samuel Alito...aka the Armageddon Catalyst.
Anyone who thinks, and still thinks, that the separation of church and state really exists in this country is out of their mind and needs to get their heads out of their bums.
Alito, a Roman Catholic, is so far to the right and so conservative that we could very well live in a policed state in the near future. This is a man who strongly believes in overturning Roe vs. Wade, who wants to overturn another case thereby forcing women to alert their spouses when they have an abortion, who wants to limit and remove immigrant rights (ironic for someone whose grandfather was a turn of the century immigrant), and who wants to limit and remove employment rights for women - thus making promotion, equal pay and equal rights cases a thing of the past.
Now if you think about this logically, all these beliefs are directly tied into the Bible and religion: the killing of innocents, the obedience of a wife to her husband, the lower status of a woman, the killing of infidels (ok, that one is stretching, but still valid), and on and on. Scientifically, there is nothing that says that any of this stuff is illegal or against the natural course of life...hello...watch a nature program some time. The subjugation of women is nothing more than a socialized belief based on an antiquated belief of brute strength and muscle mass.
So Alito, if confirmed, becomes the 5th conservative in the Supreme Court, will replace O'Connor as the swing vote, and could very well overturn all those cases and rights passed and gained through her ability to see beyond some holy scripture.
This is surely the end of our freedoms and democracy and the beginning of social and political armageddon.
On another note, George Bush doesn't believe global warming exists.
I have nothing to say because that speaks for itself.
He truly is the worst and dumbest president on the face of the planet.
